Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Dexter 12 inch se-coat left hand side hub and rotor assembly with the six on five and a half inch bolt pattern for 6,000 pound axles. Now this trailer brake assembly will make it very easy to upgrade from drum brakes to disc brakes for better performance. Disc brakes will give you more consistent stopping even at highway speeds, gives you dramatically shorter stopping distances and it's easier and less expensive to maintain. The se-coat finish on these parts will provide corrosion resistance for fresh water and limited salt water use. The kit will include everything here shown on the table. It's one full left hand driver side brake assembly.
Comes with the one se-coat rotor, one se-coated hub with the bolts all pressed in, the se-coated duct tower and caliper with the brake lines included, one se-coated caliper mounting bracket with all the hardware, the bolts and nuts to install it, two semi metallic brake pads and then the bearings, the races which are pre-installed in the hub, the grease seal and the easy grease cap.It even gives you a little tube of thread sealant right here in the hardware bag, so when you install your bolts you can put sealant onto those bolts. Now the rotor itself is a vented rotor design. This will help regulate temperature, prevent overheating because it dissipates the heat better. Also this included hub will replace your existing hub. The caliper comes with is a self adjusting caliper, ensures maximum surface control for smooth equal braking.
The brake pads they use are semi metallic brake pads to resist heat, provide excellent grip. The mounting bracket is a duct tower iron bracket provides strength and durability. We had mentioned the grease cap that is included. It has a removable plug, rubber plug in the middle and that's for easy access to the grease fitting on an easy lube axle. Now this does require hydraulic actuator and brake lines. We do sell separately on our website.
They are required for brakes to be activated ad it will require a psi rating of at least 1,600 psi. These parts are made in the USA. Again it fits an axle capacity 6,000 pound axles. The wheel size that'll work on this is 15 inches, 16 inches, and 16 and a half inches. The bolt pattern on this hub is a six on five and a half inch bolt pattern.
Does use the wheel lug size of a half inch by 20. The rotor diameter is 12 inches. And on the brake flange you can see are the mounting bracket, it mounts to a brake flange configuration of five bolts. Now the bearings, the races, and the seals. The bearings are included. The inner bearing is a part number 25580, has a 1.7 inch inner diameter. The outer bearing is included, part number 15123, has a 1.25 inner diameter. The races, the bearing races, they ride in they are pre-installed in the hub already. The grease seal that's included is a double lip grease seal, part number GS-2250DL. Inner diameter on the seal is 2.25 inches, outer diameter is 3.376 inches and again the easy lube grease cap is all included. Does have a nice set of detailed installation instructions on how to install everything. But that should do it for the review on the Dexter 12 inch e-coat left hand side hub and rotor assembly with the six on five and a half inch bolt pattern for 6,000 pound axles.
