Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Derale Spin-On Adapter Kit. This kit is going to include this adapter that will install in place of your engine oil filter on your engine. It will then allow you to attach a hose, so that you can run your oil out through your filter and then through a cooler to cool down the oil, help it last longer and to help improve the performance of your engine. So this does include this hex sleeve nut, and that's got a 22 millimeter by a 1.5 millimeter thread, and so, that's going to install in here. They include the snap ring that will hold that in place, so that you can then thread that onto your engine.

So we do have other kits that are almost identical that just have a different threading on there, so you wanna make sure you're getting the kit with the correct threading for your engine oil filter nipple there to make sure that you're gonna have a nice secure connection. They also include the O-ring here that will very easily install on your adapter to ensure a nice tight seal. And then on top, we do have our two 1/2 inch NPT ports that will allow you to have your oil flow out of this one and then into this one there. So of course, this is just gonna be one of the components that you're gonna need, since you're displacing your oil filter, you will also need a remote oil filter mount to get that filter mounted, so that you can still run your oil through it, and then of course your hose, connectors, and those sort of things. So if you're just starting from scratch, I would recommend one of our kits that has all of the different components that you'll need, this will be more for if you're looking for a replacement for your current setup.
