Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Derale Oil Filter Relocation Kit. This kit is going to allow you to move your vehicle's oil filter, so it can be placed in a more convenient location to make changing out the filter quicker and easier for you. This will also have the added benefit of increasing your oil capacity, and so, you'll have more oil flowing through to help keep your engine running smoothly. This kit is going to include this spin-on adapter that is going to connect to your engine in place of your oil filter. This is going to then provide the ports for you to hook up your hose to run the oil to your filter.

So this will install onto your engine using this hex sleeve nut. This has an 18 millimeter by 1.5 millimeter thread to it, so it will install onto your engines that have that similar thread, and it they include the snap ring that will hold that in place. So once you have that installed, you can just spin this on, that's why it's called the spin-on adapter, thread it in place, and they also include the O-ring here, and that will create a nice tight seal for you once you have it threaded in place. And then we have these two 1/2 inch NPT fittings for our included hose connectors here, so we'll just throw those in place very easily, and then we can use the included 10 foot long hose that has a 1/2 inch inner diameter that will fit on there, and we'll use one of the included clamps to keep it in place. We'll be able to route our oil over to our filter, which we will mount using this ports-up remote oil filter mount, so they include the three number 14 sheet metal screws to mount this in place, as well as your oil filter nipple here that will thread in place, this has a 3/4 inch, 16 thread, so you'll then thread your filter in place, and again, use your hose connections to connect your hose there.

So running from your engine to your filter, and then from your filter back into your engine, so that you can still use that filter, get all the benefits of filtering out those contaminants while mounting it in a location that's more convenient for you. So overall, a really nice setup here, and we do have other very similar options that come with a different hex nut, so if you are needing a different thread type for your engine, I would recommend checking out those other options to get the one that's gonna fit best for you.
