Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be looking at the replacement wire lock safety pin for your Demco Tabless Base Plate. So this is what connects the pole stud to the pull block. So that's that little stud that goes in and locks into your actual base plate. This is what keeps them together. So if something happened to this, got lost, or damaged somewhere along the way, this is going to be a direct replacement from the manufacturer to get you operational again so you can actually pull that vehicle behind your RV.It's going to have all the same features and same specs as that original pin.
We'll have our little safety keeper there on the pin. Might not be a bad idea to create a tether for this, so that it's not just sitting loose on your base plate. That can be just a little chain or something or just some kind of system to keep this from getting lost. Really easy to do. One of the many little components you have to worry about with hauling a flat tow.
There's so many to deal with. So this is just another one, but might be some ways to mitigate that.The length overall, two and a half inches for the usable length, and then diameter is 5/16ths of an inch. Originally you would've had two of these, so this is just a single pin replacement. If you need both, then you'll have to pick up two. It is made in the USA, and that's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the replacement wire lock safety pin for your Demco Base Plate.

The Demco tow bar system including these pins have a been huge improvement. It is so fast and reliable I always feel like I have forgotten to accomplish a step. Speed and idiotic proof process top drawer for me.
