Working great survived the winter and summer weather

Installation of CAM42145 over the larger water heater vent opening was very easy. As with all the screen product that utilize springs to attach, the tool was included to hook the springs to the door. Initially, I was worried about "the look", having screens over all the openings. My wife was impressed with the appearance. When "mama's happy, everybody's happy!" :)149389

Installed this, & although it didn’t fit perfectly, it covered the vent good enough. On our return home from a camping trip, I notice the insect screen & the vent cover that I had attached it to were gone! I guess the tension from the springs pulled it loose. Ended up buying a whole new door for the water heater, so I will not try using this again.818219

I found it necessary to use some silicone caulk around the edge, both to establish a secure fit (the included spring fasteners didn't quite hold the screen in place tightly enough) and to close up gaps from an imperfect fit. Other than that, it worked great.1088799

One item that was listed as a 6 inch width was about 1/2 inch off, hence it did not fit the suburban 6 h2o heater as was advertised. The 5x5 did fit. Resultantly, must find a way to block the 1/4 inch on each side re: "dauber entry route" allowed by the improper fit on fore mentioned screen. Prompt delivery133220
