Today we'll be taking a quick look at the air line for a Bulldog Winch Remote mounting air filter. This is going to be a plastic constructed air line for getting that air filter mounted up to your air compressor tank on your vehicle. It's going to have a three-eighths inch diameter, so that will work with three-eighths inch NTP fittings like we can find with our air filters which are sold separately. This one with the three-eighths fittings is sold separately here at etrailer.com. That part number would be BDW 42044. So that bar fitting will slide into our air tube here, our air line. Usually kind of have to coax it on to get it to go all the way down.
Then you just push that until it's all the way seated onto that bar fitting.Again, these air filters are going to keep out any kind of contaminants from your air tank and make sure it works properly. As far as our air line, it is going to have that three-eighths inch opening, and then it's six-and-a-half feet long. Whenever you're running this air line, you want to be sure of a couple things. You don't want to run this next to anything that's going to be hot, like your exhaust system, and you want to keep it away from anything moving, like your suspension. You don't want it to be melted by that heat from the exhaust or caught in the suspension and get pinched or kinked or cut. And also when you're running it, you don't want to drag it across any sharp edges like the frame of the vehicle, or really any kind of sharp corners since that can cause some grooves in the line and then you can have a really hard time finding the leaks later. Also, if you we're to be using this with any kind of push-to-connect fitting, those grooves at the edge of the end there can also cause some leaking from the push-to-connect fitting as well.
But typically with these Bull Dog Winch, you're just going to be using the bar fitting where it fits over that bar, so shouldn't be too much of an issue there. But it's just best to stay away from any of those sharp edges. It does come with a one-year limited warrantee from Bulldog Winch, and that's going to do it for our look at the air line for Bulldog Winch Remote mounting air filter.
