Just don’t. Ordered 6/5. It is now 6/23 and I don’t have a complete hitch. Three attempts at shipping have produced two hitches that were reboxed by UPS enroute and missing parts and documentation, and the third shipment (hardware) was in perfect shape, yet failed to include all of the missing hardware that was invoiced. CS absolutely ignored comment about reimbursement for multiple trips to UPS hub to deal with damaged packages and missing parts.
Added pic of attempt #2. Evidently, if it’s got no staples, it’s not the etrailer box.

I am very sorry that this order for the weight distribution system has been so difficult. I will have our Customer Service team reach out again to make sure that you have everything that you need.

I love the WD Hitch. Installation was extremely easy but would have been easier with a second person. Fits nicely on the Jeep Gladiator Sport w/o having to remove any of the reinforced bumper. Setup and removal is probably the hardest part, just because of its weigh. The receiver must weigh 60 pounds or so. Towing is amazing and had made long travel much more enjoyable and less stressful. the squat and raise in the front end was terrible until I mounted this hitch. I know my trailer isn't that heavy and only have about 500 pounds tongue weight, but this has made all the difference and I feel much safer when traveling with my family.

Tow Vehicle: 2020 Jeep Gladiator Sport (No tow package)
Trailer: 2022 Forest River Rockwood 2318 esp Tent Trailer

Package was received on time and UPS delivered it intact and box was in good shape even though it was very heavy. It took a couple days until I got to open it for install on my truck and trailer. I was disappointed to find that the fasteners were missing for installation of brackets on trailer frame.

by:

Exactly as advertised. My trailer runs very smooth and no swaying at all. Even in top speed of 70mph. Easy to install and store.

by:

works great on my 2021 Frontier, towing a 3500-4000 lb camper. Have run 2300 miles this season, sometimes in really windy conditions, and the hitch makes all the drama go away. Wish I'd had a similar hitch on my previous larger truck.

by:

My order was delivered in a dilapidated box that looked like it had been used several times. It was taped together to keep it from falling apart. Negative 5 stars for delivery.

by:

Worked great a bit noisy overall great product

by:

Parts were missing not sure if this was an oversight by etrailier or Reese. etrailer ordered the the missing part and is shipping priority delivery.

I haven’t assembled or installed yet. etrailier customer service is EXCELLENT. They help me find the best WDSC for my needs. Amy was was very helpful, professional and personable on ordering and shipping the missing parts.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ETRAILIER!

by:

When I went to the front door the cardboard box the hitch was in was really squished and broke open. All the parts were there I guess as there was no instruction or parts listed was there, it makes it really hard for me to figure out how to install it properly. So I guess I will have to find a camper trailer store n order to install it.

Hope it won't cost to much to properly install it. Any help would be greatly appreciate it very much.

I will let you know,when I Tow

by:

Arrived not even in a box. Etrailer was not helpful in getting replacement parts. Took days to even hear back. Ended up just having to ship it back, now my trip is delayed trying to find a weight distribution hitch local

by:

Thank you very much for all the help. I received the shank today. You people are the best.

by:

Missing all hardware. Box taped to hell and arrived open

Oh my! Thank you letting us know. Customer Service will be in touch so that we can have the hardware sent out as quickly as possible.

by:

Installed easily, trailer traveled real tight behind vehicle. I was more than impressed. However, package was very beat up upon arrival.

by:

This product takes a lot of the sway out of the trailer for better towing . Would purchase it again .

by:

I'm pulling a 21 foot camper trailer with a 1/2 ton pickup and it does help reduce sway and rocking motions. The instructions could be better written and easier to understand. The box it was shipped in was destroyed and it was repackaged in ups boxes before I received it and no parts were missing.

by:

Great pricing, lightning fast shipping, and competent/courteous sales support. Very satisfied with both the weight distribution and 2-point sway control functionality. Many, many thanks!

by:

Worked better than I expected it to. Leveled camper and caravan nicely. Pulls level and smooth at low and high speed. One warning though be very careful with the spring arms. The first time I disconnected it the van was at an angle to the camper. The first side came off easy. I didn't expect (and should have) the other side to be different, but it was apparently under a lot of pre-load and when it snapped off the bracket it slammed to the side and broke my shin bone. My stupid so don't blame the hitch.

by:

Works great, makes a huge difference. Used on a 2014 Tacoma pulling a ~5k travel trailer. Without the weight distribution hitch, the truck was bobbing all over the place and it was exhausting to drive. Now the truck sits level and tows much more smoothly.

I took away one star because the method of installing/removing the bars is not as good as I've seen on other hitches. Unless you wear gloves, your hands will get all greasy and there are a bunch of loose parts that you have to keep track of. It works, but definitely not as slick as some of the (pricier) options out there.

So sorry to hear that! How frustrating! I am glad to see that our customer service team has already been in touch with you, and are working to get the parts sent out.

SEEMS TO BE GOOD QUALITY, AND THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE GREAT ,

by:

Instillation took a few hours and I had to buy a socket to change the ball to the 2 inch I needed. That aside, this unit works beautifully, no squat, no sway, and easy hook up.

by:

The packaging container was delivered damaged. The contents needs to be inspected and verified against the bill of materials

Customer Service will reach out to you. I have emailed the parts list to you.

by:

For the price, this has been a good hitch. The setup is pretty simple as long as you're a little mechanically inclined and have the tools for the job. Placement of the round bars and their removal each trip is simple. We have had zero issues with trailer sway and have no sag in the rear of tow vehicle. Very confident towing with this hitch. The only drawback is that the hitch will eat a significant portion of your vehicle's payload if you have a smaller tow vehicle. Just do the math and don't overload.

by:

The product seems good haven't used it yet but the packaging flat out sucks, box was destroyed and the ups guy asked if I wanted to just send it back.I hope all the parts are there.and I will have to paint it.

  • Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch System For a 2022 Keystone Hideout 175BH Travel Trailer
I recommend using the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-0800 with your 2022 Keystone Hideout 175BH. The Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution # RE34FR will be quickly overloaded as it is only rated for 200-600lbs of tongue weight. With your Hideout weighing 485lbs dry the 20lbs of propane along with a 48lb Battery # BRW34FR will put you at 553lbs. Since the storage is also on the front you will want to go with a system like the e2 # FA92-00-0800 with a rating of 400-800lbs of tongue...

  • Weight Distribution Hitch for 2020 Ford Ranger Towing 3,100 lb Trailer
More than likely the Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution # RE34FR will work for your trailer. You want to choose a weight distribution hitch based on the fully loaded tongue weight of your setup, including the weight of anything behind the rear axle in your 2020 Ford Ranger. Ideally, you want to measure this with a scale like the # e99044. The tongue weight range of the # RE34FR is 200-600 lbs. As long as your tongue weight is within this range it will work well for you. For a weight distribution hitch that won't break the bank I recommend the Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution w Sway Control # RE34FR. Yes, the Reese Weight Distribution System with Shank part # RE34FR will work on a 4,500 lb trailer. The etrailer hitch # e98837 that you referenced has a 350 lb tongue weight rating when towing a trailer not using a weight distribution system but when you do use a weight distribution system the tongue weight rating would go up to 500 lbs.
