Recommended Weight Distribution System for 3500 lb Trailer Pulled by 2020 Toyota RAV4
Question:
Need weight distribution w sway control for a 2000 to 3500 lb trailer. I am getting a trailer that when in use with have 2000 to 3500 lbs so tongue weight should be 200 - 350 lbs. Towing behind a 2020 toyota Rav4 Adventure. With a curt hitch I bought from you guys. one that allows backing up is preferred. Thanks

I'd recommend the Fastway e2 weight distribution with sway control, part # FA92-00-0600. This weight distribution hitch is designed for trailers with tongue weights ranging from 250-600 lbs, so it'll be perfect for a trailer weighing 2000-3500 lbs. The system will counteract the rear suspension sag by transferring a portion of the trailer's tongue weight to the front axle of your RAV4, so the front and rear ride height of the vehicle is even. The system will also help combat trailer sway caused by turbulence from cross winds or passing traffic. You will be able to back the trailer with the system in place.
