Trailer is back to new again.

by:

Brandon was very knowledgeable about what I would need to replace my axles and springs, right down to the sizes for bushings and bolts. I have been using trailer for many years because their service is awesome.

by:

I have a old trailer with nonstandard parts. Eric's tenacity and determination ensured we selected the parts that would fit the old trailer. All parts arrived as expected and fit like original. Could not have done it without Eric.

by:

The parts arrived days before we expected. We had the job done before we expected the parts. Thanks for your service.

So far the trailer hasnt moved since I replaced the parts. Its sitting nice and straight though!

by:

Excellent service and prices. Needed to replace curved equalizer, shackles and bolts, nylon spring bushings, u-bolts, and wheel bearing seals on my sailboat trailer. etrailer had everything and shipped it fast. Staff at etrailer was excellent!

by:

These were just what we needed for repairs on our 1983 stock trailer. The old parts were quite worn. We gave the trailer a face lift as well, and it should last another 37 years.

by:

Equalizers worked perfect. Trailer is repaired and back to work.

Worked great my dump trailer suspension sion is as solid as can be.

by:

E trailer had the exact parts I needed. This was an exact replacement for my worn out parts.

Parts are O.E. for my trailer . Part is a match for my old part.

I had already purchased a Heavy Duty Kit but the equalizer was not the correct one for my equipment. When I called to see if you had the correct equalizer your rep. couldn't
find the 356 part I needed and we settled on a more triangular one that had the right measurements for the bottom width ( 6 1/4") of my o.e. but was an 1 1/2" higher. After I hung up from him I searched you web site and found the right TREQ356 part listed.
I tried to get him back on the phone / and left him a message. I called back got another rep. got the right part ordered and he sent me a shipping label to return the part that was actually the wrong part for my trailer.
So Thank You very much for your swift attention to my problem. Everything else in the Heavy Duty Kit is enter-changeable and seems to fit great.

Part Well Done

by:

my friend ordered springs and hardware for my pontoon trailer. man did they get here fast. everything in one box. packed real good. no damage, nothing lost or left out. I finally got everything back together. fits great. i was worried that the springs where going to be to light, but the trailer sits just like new. sorry no pics. I was to greasy to get the camera out. But its like new again. yes etrailer.com i'm gonna be back next time I need parts. and i've already told all my friends with boats and trailers about etrailer.com . I am a happy customer. thanks again. C Finley

replaced the suspension on my 5th wheel--all went well and now I am much releived to lub with a grease gun and not a oil can. one of the wet bolts was defective--I called you sent one out quickly--thanks

by:

My boat trailer broke and I needed to replace the entire suspension system. I called around to local businesses and would have to wait several weeks for them to order the parts. I began searching online and found etrailer.com. I looked up the parts I needed and all of them were in stock. The shipping was free and the parts were received sooner than I could have ordered them from a local retailer. Also, the price from etrailer.com was cheaper than what I would have had to pay locally. I am very pleased and will continue to use etrailer.com for all of my trailer part needs. I plan on telling everyone I see about my experience and suggest they use etrailer.com as well. Thank for helping me fix my trailer. I will post pictures when the job is finished.

by:

Our trailer is just like the one in the video that demostrates changing the equalizer and shackle straps. This equalizer was the closest in size to our old one although the height is shorter but the trailer sat too high anyway. We changed all the shackle bolts, bushings and shackle straps. It took 3 hours and 2 people, but I have to say the trailer now rides real smooth and quiet. The real test will be when we need to haul the next load of livestock. Very happy with the quality and fast shipping.

by:

Perfect fit. Fast shipping.

by:

Great quality, didn’t have the specific ones in stock and was given another option to get them sooner from a different brand. Great customer service and communication.

by:

Worked out great!

by:

Fit perfect and for the price it wasn't worth my time to install bushing in the old one! E trailer makes it only an hour job to completely rebuild a tandem axle trailer suspension.

by:

It's an equalizer, looks like a caste part, not machined. It did come with bushings, a point that I would like to have known, because I now have more inserts on hand than I need.

My total order included bolts, shackles and bushings. Prices for these parts were very competitive for the market place. However the cost for standard shipping was pretty much out of line. Also, for the amount paid for shipping, eight days to receive was a little slow.

On the plus side, installation was a breeze, and any questions that I might have had were more than adequately addressed on the web site.

by:

Was an exact match for original.

by:

These suspension parts are a perfect fit and have solved my utility trailer problems. Great help from etrailer and a great information packed web site.

by:

Perfect, exact equalizer as original on trailer constructed in 2001. Oh, ordered on Monday and arrived early at 9:15PM Thursday September 1st by normal ground transportation

by:

Shipped fast and fit perfect!

  • Shorter Equalizer Solution for Trailer Where One Side of Equalizer Hits Frame
Tot get your equalizer to sit level you basically just need to go with a slightly shorter one (measured from left to right). So what I would recommend is measure the length of what you have and then go with one shorter. Looking at your picture I would be willing to bet you have a 7-3/4 inch one currently so for a shorter one you could go with the part # TREQ356 which is 6-1/8 inch. Or for shorter than that we have the part # TREQ104 which is 5-3/4 inches. There would be no need to replace...

  • How to Find the Correct Replacement Equalizer for a 1999 Bonanza 3-Horse Trailer
If your trailer suspension seems to be in good shape, other than the broken equalizer, then you do not have to replace both sides if you do not want to. The best way to find the correct replacement equalizer is to measure the shackle bolt holes and make sure you choose the correct style equalizer (double-eye vs. slipper). For example, the TruRyde Curved Equalizer, # TREQ356 (pictured), measures 6-1/8 inches long from bolt hole to bolt hole on center and it is 2-1/2 inches tall from bolt...

Sounds like you are in need of a shackle kit to attach you leaf springs to the hangers on your trailer. The closest equalizer we have is the part # TREQ356 which has a distance of 6-1/8 inches between bolt holes left to right and 2-12 inches vertically. For bolts you would want the # 126B2. You would need 14 of these. For shackles part # 18-11GALV. You would need 8 of these.

  • Will Anything Bad Happen if Too Big of Trailer Suspension Equalizer is Used
Your equalizers not sitting level is a sign that they aren't going to work as well since the movement they normally allow will be limited. It may not be a problem in the near future but basically components of the suspension will wear out quicker and your tires may wear out quicker as well. It would be best to replace what you have with the correct size equalizer like the part # TREQ356.

The correct replacement 6-1/8" long equalizer is the part # TREQ356, not the part # TREQE34 which is 7-3/4" long. Therefore no, the two are not directly cross compatible. If the reason you are wanting to use 7-3/4" long is so you can get the kit part # e99ZR, you can use all the shackles and bolts with the above TREQ356 so getting both is what I recommend as there isn't a kit that comes with the TREQ356.

  • Raising the Height of a Boat Trailer with Square Axles Mounted Under Leaf Springs
Since the springs are already on top of the axles on your boat trailer what you can do is have a professional welder remove the existing leaf spring hangers and weld on new taller ones. If this is the case, we don't offer an equalizer that's 6-1/8 by 2, but we can get you really close with part # TREQ104 which is 5-3/4 inch long by 2 inches tall. • Are Equalizers Recommended Between Tandem Trailer Axles
You will want to use an equalizer on your trailer if you go to a tandem axle setup. You wouldn't be able to install the axles closer together by not running one anyway. You would have to run two sets of single axle hangers.
