It's a lot less clunky and awkward than the typical ball mount that you see, and it'll work really well for those lighter towing applications where we'd be using this for a class two hitch.So let's take a closer look and talk about some of those details and make sure that this is the right fit for your particular application. Again, this is going to work for a class two hitch, so it fits in an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter hitch opening. The ball size is one and seven eighths inch. Today, we're going to take a look at this Fastway solid tow adjustable aluminum 2-ball mount for a 2" hitch with a 10" drop or an 11" rise.Now, this adjustable ball mount makes it very easy for you to haul different trailers. The ball height, you can see here, is adjusted in increments of 1" so that you can easily switch between trailers with different tongue heights. It does also use this reversible ball platform, which will let you remove it, just turn it over, so you could swap between the two different sized hitch balls, either the 2" diameter or the 2-5/16 diameter. And the shank right here is what'll slide into your 2" hitch receiver opening and hold it to your vehicle.Now what's unique about this ball mount, it does use the self-tensioning anti-rattle solid tow system. more

Hello everybody, this is jeff@etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this Flash Self-locking Aluminum Ball Mount for 2 inch hitches as a 10,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now this is a nice solid one piece ball mount, has a built-in 2 inch drop or if you turn it over a 1 inch rise, it'll let you match the ball height through your vehicle, but the tongue heights of your trailer. Now if you notice the hitch ball is not included, we do sell those separately, and the ball hole diameter that the hitch ball will go into is a one inch diameter. So when you do purchase a hitch ball, you do want to make sure the shaft diameter on the hitch balls are 1 inch diameter.This is a convenient self-locking system, it locks the ball mount to the receiver tube. You can see right here these built in locks can't get lost like other kinds of hitch locks and the lock seals on these are double sealed to help keep out any water. more

Zack: Hey everybody, Zack here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Euro style Drawbar. This is going to be an excellent way to haul trailers that have a 2" coupler on them because it comes with a 2" ball attached to it already. So what we see in a lot of 1 1/4" hitches, not always, but usually they're on cars that sit a little bit lower to the ground. So we have a 2 5/8" rise on this, and it's going to give us a 3,500 pound capacity, so that's going to be the total capacity of towing.And what I like about this setup is, a lot of setups when it comes to ball mounts, you have to buy the ball mount and the ball separately, and then you have to make sure that you get that ball torqued down properly. For me, that's not something I feel a 100% confident that I'm going to be able to get that tightened down all the way. more

Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the Weigh Safe Fixed Height Ball Mount with built-in scale. This is going to slide into your 2" X 2" receiver tube opening, and it is going to provide you with the ball mount. This is a one inch opening here so it's going to accept most of your standard ball fixtures so that whether you have a two inch ball or 2-5/16 inch ball, whatever the case may be, it's going to give you that spot for that. But then really the main feature here is that it has the built in scale here to measure your tongue weight so that you can make sure that you are towing safely, whether you need to adjust the positioning of your load on your trailer, that sort of thing, it is going to measure that tongue weight every time you get hooked up. As you can see if this does not come with the ball, you will be able to provide your own depending on the size that you need.This is capable of a gross trailer weight of 10,000 pounds and a maximum tongue weight of 1,500 pounds. more

This drawbar is going to be great for your class two applications where you have a one and a quarter inch receiver. It's a solid steel shank on our drawbar. This is going to give it some extra durability. It does offer a 300 pound tongue weight, which is the force going down on top of it and also a 3,500 pound gross towing capacity, which is how much that it can pull behind it. more

Today, we're going to be taking a look at Draw-Tite's one and a quarter inch Drawbar. This is going to be a nice sturdy ball mount. It's going to last you a long time. It has a solid shank for extra rigidness and durability. Some of the competitors do have hollow shanks on the inside, which just doesn't provide as much girth and steel here, because it's solid all the way through. And it's also protected with a black powder coat finish, so we don't have to worry about the solid steel rusting underneath.Now, this ball mount is designed for class one hitches but you can use it in a class two, as long as you don't exceed its weight capacities. more

Reese Trailer Hitch Starter Ball Mount Kit Review- Video
Today, we're going to be taking a look at Reese's trailer hitch starter ball mount kit. This ball mount is designed for class two applications. It has a two inch ball on it with a maximum rating of 3,500 pounds for its gross towing capacity. And it also has a 300 pound tongue weight, which is the force going down on top of it. Typically, a trailer loaded up we'll have about 10% of its gross towing capacity as its tongue weight. So if you've got 3,000 pounds in your trailer, you've probably got about 300 pounds on top of your ball as long as you've got it loaded properly. more

Hi there, heavy haulers. Today we're going to be taking a look at Patriot Hitches Captain five-in-one ball mount. This is an all-in-one ball mount solution that features a 1 7/8" ball, a 2" ball, a 2 5/16" ball, a pintle mount, as well as a D-ring for tow straps, saving you the cost and headache of maintaining all five of those components separately. We're now going to show it in each application being hooked up. We're going to start with our 1 7/8", and you can see here that I've got the hook removed, and I also removed the pintle collar here as well, so that way it just reduces on the amount of rattles that we'll get.We're just going to slide it on there, and then lock it down. When you're using it in 1 7/8 position, you've got a maximum tongue weight of 350 pounds and a maximum gross towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. more
