Will the Curt Wiring Harness for a 2013 Honda CR-V Void the Vehicle Warranty
Question:
A local installer installed my Curt Trailer hitch and wiring kit on my 2013 Honda CR-V. Subsequently I began having problems with the cars turning signals. Now my Honda dealer tells me my malfunctioning turning lights are out of warranty because of the hitch wiring. What should I do?

If installed properly the Curt Wiring Harness part # C56158 that you referenced shouldn't cause any problems. Your best course of action would be to go back to the local installer you used and explain to them what happened as it sounds like the screwed something up.
Consumers of aftermarket products are protected by the Federal Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. You should bring this up with your Honda dealer if you decide to go back there with the problem you have.
The Act states that if something breaks on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty unless whatever modifications you have added to your vehicle actually caused the problem in question.
