Hitch Recommendation for a 2010 Honda Element
Question:
Hi, I read that curts class III 2-inch hitch has problems fitting on the 2010 model Honda Element but not any other years. Do you know if this has been fixed?

I believe I found the review online where a single customer said he had a problem installing the Curt Hitch part # 13574 on his 2010 Honda Element. I wish I knew more about the issue he was having, but I checked with Curt and they have said that as long as the 2010 Honda Element is not an SC model this hitch should work well and haven't heard of any issues beyond that. So based on that I can safely recommend this hitch for you. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included to the right that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
For trailer wiring you would want the part # 118465.
