Can the Blue Locking Piece of a Trailer 7-Way be Removed from the Connector Once its Locked
Question:
I had to do a quick install before my trip last week, so I didnt drill a hole in the truck bed. Now Id like to take the new socket end apart and run the wire up behind the bed. Can the blue locking piece that came in the kit be removed? Thanks.

The blue locking piece you referenced unfortunately is not easily removed. In fact, there's basically no way to get it out without breaking it. The installers here have tried several times to get it out and always end up breaking it.
The easiest solution I have for you would be to cut the wires behind the connector leaving enough room to reconnect them so that you can get the outlet and wires on the right side of your truck bed and then reconnect them once you get the 7-way mounted in your truck bed.
