Trailer Wiring Harness for 2003 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
I have a 2003 Toyota Tacoma without a tow package. I want to install a 4-wire connector to connect a trailer with lights. What do I need to do this? Do I need to splice wires or is there an adapter with connectors available? Do I need a converter for the amber lights?

To provide a connection for your trailer lighting, we offer the T-1 Vehicle Wiring Harness, part # 118379. This wiring harness features a converter that will combine the separate brake light and turn signal indicator circuits into a combined circuit for the trailer. The T-1 harness is very simple to install, it will plug inline into the existing factory connectors behind each tail light assembly with no cutting or splicing required.
