Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2014 Toyota Sienna Limited AWD
Question:
I would like to know which hitch to purchase. I have a Toyota sienna 2014 limited awd. I need a hitch that is high off the ground. What items would you suggest. Thank you so much.

Your 2014 Toyota Sienna can be fitted with either of two sizes/classes of trailer hitch, either a light-duty 1-1/4-inch Class II type or a 2-inch Class III type that offers higher capacity. Since the costs between the two types are so close, and since a 2-inch hitch offers better flexibility with accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers, I suggest the Curt # C13105. This hitch's installation is shown in the linked video, and the written instructions as well as two helpful installation articles are linked at right.
All hitches offered for your vehicle (or any other given car) will install in the same place on the vehicle's frame, and the receiver tube itself will be in pretty much the exact same spot regardless of brand or hitch class. If you check the video at the 20-second mark you'll see the key measurements for clearance confirmed by our installers when they mounted this hitch on a 2012 Sienna. The hitch will sit about 8-3/4-inches above ground.
If you need a trailer wiring harness we offer the plug-and-play Curt harness # C56106; an installation video for this item is also linked at right. For a ball mount you can use # 2753; for a hitch ball you can use 2-inch ball # 63845 or 1-7/8-inch # 19260; and for a pin and clip, part # PC3.
