S-Hooks and Quick Links Rated for At Least 7,600 Pounds for Trailer Safety Chains

Question:

Im looking for something easier to hook / unhook the safety chains on my new camper. My previous trailer had S-hooks, which were a piece of cake. My new trailer uses clevis hooks which are a MAJOR pain to unhook from my F150. The GVWR of my trailer is 7600lbs, and Id like to solve my problem by: A Attaching a heavy duty bracket to the frame of my F150 that can serve as a quick connect for the clevis clips. OR B Replacing the clevis clips with 1/2inch S-brackets rated to hold 7,600lbs each. I assume I would also need to purchase a quick link in order to attach the new S-bracket. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I recommend going with the S-hooks, # C81830. They would be the easiest to use between them and the clevis set up that you are currently using. You can use quick link # C82932 as well. It is rated for 10,000 pounds. The S-hooks and quick links should make for quick and easy attachment/removal.
