Recommendations for Suspension Upgrade on 2013 Dodge Ram 3500 Longhorn

Question:

I am considering a suspension upgrade for my 2013 Dodge Ram 3500 Laramie Longhorn. I have heard that Timbrens are a good choice for keeping the truck close to level. I am pulling a 13500 lb 5th wheel and want to make sure that the ride as level as possible. Timbren suggests using their model DRTT3500D for my truck but I do not see those on your web sight. What do you suggest I use? Thanks

The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, # T94VR, is a great choice for keeping your 2013 Dodge Ram 3500 Laramie Longhorn as level as possible when towing your 13,500 pound 5th wheel trailer.

Another option that you may want to consider is using an air bag system like the Air Lift LoadLifter, # AL88297 for a 2 wheel drive and # AL88295 for a 4 wheel drive Ram. If a perfectly level ride is the goal, air bags will give you more control over the ride height of your truck and when inflated properly, air bags will provide the most level ride. In addition to the adjustability of the air bags, these systems also include jounce springs for comfort and reliability.

For in cab control of the Air Lift LoadLifter you can use the Load Controller II Compressor System, # AL25592. This system will not only give you in cab control but it will automatically kick in if it senses that your air spring pressure is too low.
