Wiring in a Brake Controller to a 2013 Toyota 4Runner Using Factory Toyota Harness
Question:
I bought a brake controller its has four wires the wiring harness that came with my 2013 four runner limited has five. black -brake controller batter fee got that green- head lamp switch??? green/yellow -vehicle stop lamp switch ??? white black ground got that yellow - trailer electric brake feed got that its the two with question marks I am confused about! please help

Not a problem. You will need to attach the red brake controller wire to the green/yellow wire (vehicle stop lamp switch). This wire tells the brake controller that you are stepping on the brake pedal. It is a dedicated brake light only signal.
The green head lamp switch wire will not be used. It would normally be used for an illumination feature which most brake controllers do not have. Just tape it up and stow it out of the way.
