What Is Green Wire for on Factory Brake Controller Harness for 2019 Toyota 4Runner

This wiring harness has 4 contacts inside the connector that I will plug into my existing connector under the dash of the 4Runner. The connector under the dash has 5 contacts in the connector. It appears that the one contact that my under-dash connector HAS that the RED49FR connector does NOT HAVE is the Headlamp Switch to Vehicle Tail Lampsinch see arrow in photo. Can you explain this to me? What does Headlamp Switch to Vehicle Tail Lampsinch refer to? Is Vehicleinch the 4Runner? Is this harness the correct one for my 2019 Toyota 4Runner? The photo is of an illustration that came with a wiring harness in my glove box when I bought the 4Runner.

In regards to the green wire on the factory harness, this won't be used. It's for an illumination circuit that is not used on most newer brake controllers.

The correct harness you need to install the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller part # RED44FR on a 2019 Toyota 4Runner is the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Classic or Elite Trailer Brake Controllers part # RED49FR . If you want to use the provided factory harness you can instead use the Universal Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers part # RED69FR.
