Can E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System # K71-652-00 Replace # TREQ356
Question:
What EZ Flex will fit on 2009 Cougar 318SAB? My fifth wheel has tandem axles 33inch apart with a 5080 lb rating. The current equalizer has a EQ-356 number on it. Will the kit work? Does the kit include wet bolts?

There is a dimension difference between the equalizers you currently have and part # K71-652-00. I have attached drawings of the # K71-652-00 and the equalizers you currently have, part # TREQ356. As you can see the difference in the distance between the two attach holes on the bottom of the equalizer is 1/2 inches. With that being split between two springs that would be approximately 1/4 inch difference on each spring. You may find that you need shackles that are a bit longer.
The height difference is 1/2 inch but normally that is not so critical. You should have no problem using part # K71-652-00 on your tandem trailer. The wet bolts are included in the kit. this kit will work on axles up to 6,000 lbs.
You will want to check all of the components of your suspension system to make sure everything is in good working order. If any show signs of damage or wear we recommend replacing them on both sides of the trailer.
I have attached a helpful article you can check out.
