Trailer is back to new again.

by:

Brandon was very knowledgeable about what I would need to replace my axles and springs, right down to the sizes for bushings and bolts. I have been using trailer for many years because their service is awesome.

by:

I have a old trailer with nonstandard parts. Eric's tenacity and determination ensured we selected the parts that would fit the old trailer. All parts arrived as expected and fit like original. Could not have done it without Eric.

by:

Excellent service and prices. Needed to replace curved equalizer, shackles and bolts, nylon spring bushings, u-bolts, and wheel bearing seals on my sailboat trailer. etrailer had everything and shipped it fast. Staff at etrailer was excellent!

by:

The parts arrived days before we expected. We had the job done before we expected the parts. Thanks for your service.

So far the trailer hasnt moved since I replaced the parts. Its sitting nice and straight though!

by:

These were just what we needed for repairs on our 1983 stock trailer. The old parts were quite worn. We gave the trailer a face lift as well, and it should last another 37 years.

by:

Equalizers worked perfect. Trailer is repaired and back to work.

Worked great my dump trailer suspension sion is as solid as can be.

Parts are O.E. for my trailer . Part is a match for my old part.

I had already purchased a Heavy Duty Kit but the equalizer was not the correct one for my equipment. When I called to see if you had the correct equalizer your rep. couldn't
find the 356 part I needed and we settled on a more triangular one that had the right measurements for the bottom width ( 6 1/4") of my o.e. but was an 1 1/2" higher. After I hung up from him I searched you web site and found the right TREQ356 part listed.
I tried to get him back on the phone / and left him a message. I called back got another rep. got the right part ordered and he sent me a shipping label to return the part that was actually the wrong part for my trailer.
So Thank You very much for your swift attention to my problem. Everything else in the Heavy Duty Kit is enter-changeable and seems to fit great.

Part Well Done

my friend ordered springs and hardware for my pontoon trailer. man did they get here fast. everything in one box. packed real good. no damage, nothing lost or left out. I finally got everything back together. fits great. i was worried that the springs where going to be to light, but the trailer sits just like new. sorry no pics. I was to greasy to get the camera out. But its like new again. yes etrailer.com i'm gonna be back next time I need parts. and i've already told all my friends with boats and trailers about etrailer.com . I am a happy customer. thanks again. C Finley

replaced the suspension on my 5th wheel--all went well and now I am much releived to lub with a grease gun and not a oil can. one of the wet bolts was defective--I called you sent one out quickly--thanks

by:

My boat trailer broke and I needed to replace the entire suspension system. I called around to local businesses and would have to wait several weeks for them to order the parts. I began searching online and found etrailer.com. I looked up the parts I needed and all of them were in stock. The shipping was free and the parts were received sooner than I could have ordered them from a local retailer. Also, the price from etrailer.com was cheaper than what I would have had to pay locally. I am very pleased and will continue to use etrailer.com for all of my trailer part needs. I plan on telling everyone I see about my experience and suggest they use etrailer.com as well. Thank for helping me fix my trailer. I will post pictures when the job is finished.

by:

Our trailer is just like the one in the video that demostrates changing the equalizer and shackle straps. This equalizer was the closest in size to our old one although the height is shorter but the trailer sat too high anyway. We changed all the shackle bolts, bushings and shackle straps. It took 3 hours and 2 people, but I have to say the trailer now rides real smooth and quiet. The real test will be when we need to haul the next load of livestock. Very happy with the quality and fast shipping.

by:

Perfect fit. Fast shipping.

by:

Great quality, didn’t have the specific ones in stock and was given another option to get them sooner from a different brand. Great customer service and communication.

by:

Worked out great!

by:

It's an equalizer, looks like a caste part, not machined. It did come with bushings, a point that I would like to have known, because I now have more inserts on hand than I need.

My total order included bolts, shackles and bushings. Prices for these parts were very competitive for the market place. However the cost for standard shipping was pretty much out of line. Also, for the amount paid for shipping, eight days to receive was a little slow.

On the plus side, installation was a breeze, and any questions that I might have had were more than adequately addressed on the web site.

by:

Fit perfect and for the price it wasn't worth my time to install bushing in the old one! E trailer makes it only an hour job to completely rebuild a tandem axle trailer suspension.

by:

These suspension parts are a perfect fit and have solved my utility trailer problems. Great help from etrailer and a great information packed web site.

by:

Was an exact match for original.

by:

Very happy with all of the items that I ordered from etrailer.com last year. Etrailer.com is a first class merchant and is my preferred source for all things related to towing/trailers.

by:

Shipped fast and fit perfect!

  • Keystone Cougar Camper Suspension Equalizer Replacement
Thanks for the pictures of your setup. Based on that the closest standard equalizer we have is the part # TREQ356. Which then for bolts you'd need the part # 126B2 and then shackle straps part # 115052 and you'd be set.

  • Selection of Correct Dexter EZ Flex System to Replace EQ-356
The equalizer you currently have on your trailer is the Curved Equalizer # TREQ356 that has 6-1/8 inches between the mounting holes horizontally and 2-1/2 inches vertically. The closest EZ Flex to what you have would be the # K71-652-00 which has a horizontal measurement between bolt holes that ranges from 5-1/4 inches to 6-1/4 inches depending on how much the equalizer compresses and a vertical height of 2-1/4 inches.

  • Can Road Armor Tandem Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit # LC696740 Replace TREQ356
Yes, the Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit # LC696740 can replace the equalizer part # TREQ356 that you have since the horizontal bolt holes are the correct distance apart. Since the vertical bolt hole distance is an inch taller though you would want to go with longer shackle straps. This will allow your leaf spring to sit level. I don't know what shackle lengths you have now but I attached a link to a page that has all of the ones we carry where you can select the length you need...

  • Replacement 2-1/4 Inch Shackle Straps and EQ-356 Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailer
You definitely have the right idea of replacing everything if your suspension parts are rusting. To replace the 2-1/4" (center-eye to center-eye) shackle straps I recommend the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers # MR46ZR. This not only comes with the shackle straps but it also comes with the wet bolts, nuts, and bushings for a complete overhaul. To replace your equalizers you need the part # TREQ356 (unless you want to upgrade to something fancier) and then for your...

  • Replacement Equalizer Measuring 6-1/8 Inches Long
I do have all of the parts you need but unfortunately they are not offered in an all inclusive kit. Instead, you would need to purchase them separately. For this, you can use part # TREQ356 for the equalizer, part # 115052 for the shackle strap, and part # 166081 for the shackle bolt. I have attached a review video on each of the above parts for you as well.

  • Replacement Trailer Suspension Components For Tandem Trailer
We do not have any equalizers with the dimensions you mentioned. From the looks of the photo you sent it appears the hole may be elongated and you may be able to use an equalizer that has all of the holes at 9/16-inch like part # TREQ356, or with a center hole that measures 3/4 inch like part # TREQ458. You will need to measure the equalizer length and height as well as the holes like the attached drawing shows to find the correct replacement. It looks like the shackles and bolts...

  • Shorter Equalizer Solution for Trailer Where One Side of Equalizer Hits Frame
Tot get your equalizer to sit level you basically just need to go with a slightly shorter one (measured from left to right). So what I would recommend is measure the length of what you have and then go with one shorter. Looking at your picture I would be willing to bet you have a 7-3/4 inch one currently so for a shorter one you could go with the part # TREQ356 which is 6-1/8 inch. Or for shorter than that we have the part # TREQ104 which is 5-3/4 inches. There would be no need to replace...

  • Curved Equalizer # TREQ356 Recommendation for a 2004 Wildcat 5th Wheel Trailer
Based on the measurements that you gave you would want a TruRyde Curved Equalizer, part # TREQ356. Even though it only seems like the E-Z Flex heavy duty rubber suspension system # K71-652-00 is a little bit smaller, it would not work for you. I attached an FAQ on trailer suspension components for you to check out.

  • Will 7-3/4" Long Equalizers Work In Place of 6-1/2" Long Equalizers
The correct replacement 6-1/8" long equalizer is the part # TREQ356, not the part # TREQE34 which is 7-3/4" long. Therefore no, the two are not directly cross compatible. If the reason you are wanting to use 7-3/4" long is so you can get the kit part # e99ZR, you can use all the shackles and bolts with the above TREQ356 so getting both is what I recommend as there isn't a kit that comes with the TREQ356.

  • What are the Proper Torque Specs For TruRyde Curved Equalizer # EQ-356
When installing an equalizer such as TruRyde # TREQ356, there is not a specific torque rating that adheres for suspension bolts. The rule is to tighten to snug while allowing minimal movement. The locking nuts are a one time use piece. Ideally, you should see 2 bolt threads when you have completed tightening the equalizer bolts. I have attached a short video where the equalizer is replaced on a trailer.

  • Trailer Suspension Hanger Kit that Uses 356 Equalizer or the Individual Parts to Make a Kit
No, none of the suspension hanger kits we have use equalizer # TREQ356. You would have to get the parts individually or get a kit with the proper sized hangers and shackle straps and just add additional equalizers. For a 2-9/16 inch hole center to center shackle strap we have # TRSL256. For bolts you can use # 126B2 for a wet bolt and nut or # 166081 for a regular bolt with nut. • Raising the Height of a Boat Trailer with Square Axles Mounted Under Leaf Springs
Since the springs are already on top of the axles on your boat trailer what you can do is have a professional welder remove the existing leaf spring hangers and weld on new taller ones. • Heavy Duty Shackle Kit with Wet Bolts for Triple Axle Trailer with TREQ356 Equalizers
For an exact equalizer replacement you would want the part # TREQ356 that you referenced. In the shackle length you have now of 2-3/4 inches we only have standard shackles like the part # TRSL275. So for a heavy duty kit that includes wet bolts and bronze bushings the closest and best option would be the part # MR86ZR which comes with 2-1/4 inch shackles. The shorter shackle will only slightly raise the height of your trailer suspension but aside from that would have no affect on it.

In addition to the axle spacing, the best way to choose the appropriate equalizer replacement is by measuring how wide your current equalizer is when measured between the two side bolt holes, center on center; as long as you keep everything relatively close in length compared to the old parts, the geometry of your suspension system won't be thrown off.
