Installing a 7-Way Blade-Style Connector on a 2006 Ford Explorer
Question:
I see at the end of your video you have the 7 wire conector, not the 4 wire one tou show in the installation. Any chance youll ever show how you wired and mounted that 7 blade connector?

Your 2006 Ford Explorer came with a factory-installed 7-way that uses a round U.S. Car Connector plug at its rear to connect to the vehicle's wiring. We do offer a replacement connector, # HM40975 from Hopkins. Both of these replacement connectors install at the same location and both feature the convenience of including a 4-pole trailer connector in addition to the 7-way for towing flexibility and both of these items include a mounting bracket. Installation is a simple plug-in process as shown in the two linked videos.
