Trailer Wiring Recommendation and Install Video for a 2012 Nissan Xterra
Question:
Hi I ordered this for my 2012 Xterra and I am trying to install it today. 2 things: 1. The video link appears broken, I cannot watch the video. 2. I did take off the trim panels to get access to the wiring harness. Something is already plugged into my 12 pin connector. Does that mean I already have the wiring installed? I did not order or pay for the tow prep package when I purchased my vehicle, so I am confused if I should unplug what is plugged in and use what you shipped me or just button it back up. Thanks

The connector can be hidden behind the other connectors and wires and hard to see. There is a connector that looks similar that is already used, but it is not the correct connector. The connector they need should be toward the top, possibly tucked behind other wires and connectors.
Or there may be an incomplete or complete harness with relays plugged in on your 2012 Nissan Xterra. What you could do is just plug in the rest of the harness and see the 4-way works. If it does then you're fine and you have extra relays as spares in case a short in your trailer wiring fries them. If not, then you will need to install the rest of the harness and relays of the # C56225.
I attached the installation video for the harness for you to check out also. You may try a different internet browser.
