Will Increasing Leaf Spring Weight Capacity Help Prevent Springs Wearing Out

Question:

I have a 2021 Salem Hemisphere 25RBHL. Max gross weight of 7500 pounds. With no load in the unit I have almost flat springs. I have already had them replaced once from Dexter under warranty and the result is the same. The trailer is not overloaded. When traveling the heavy side of the trailer touches the tires now and again. Question: Which is the best way to go, 1 go from the current four leaf 1750 pound spring to a 5 leaf 1750 pound spring or 2 go up to a 2500 pound 4 leaf spring. I know it will be a much stiffer ride either way but I dont want to wear a hole from the tires in the underside of the trailer. Thank You Mike

Hey Mike, going to a higher rated axle leaf spring like the 5k option you mentioned is going to give you the best support to prevent the springs from wearing out again. For that we do have the part # e44SR which is 25-1/4 inches. This is a very popular size spring but you should still measure yours to be sure.
