A-Frame Jack Recommendation For Keystone Hideout 24BHWE
Question:
I have a 2016 Keystone Hideout 24BHWE. I would like to add an electric tongue jack, but not sure what to choose from all the ones listed. Would your team have advice? Thanks

Hi George,
I see you've been interested in adding an electric A-frame jack to your Keystone Hideout 24BHWE since at least 2020 when you first asked, so hopefully we can get that resolved today so you can very easily raise and lower your trailer. Since your trailer has a GVWR of just under 7,420 lbs and a jack will only lift up - at most - 15% of that weight, capacity is not going to be a factor at all. With that in mind, there is one option that I absolutely like more than the rest, which is the following:
- Electric Jack w/ Footplate and 7-Way Plug # EJ-3527-BBX
The thing I like most about the 3,500 lb-rated # EJ-3527-BBX is its convenience. There's no messy wiring to a standalone battery to make the jack work, all you have to do is plug it into your 7-way and you're done. It's also extremely simple to activate as it has an up/down switch as well as an on/off switch for the light and that's it.
It's just a very solid, no-frills A-frame jack and definitely my first choice for you.

Thanks. It does seem to simplify if I just put into the car receptacle. Is there a back up available, if my truck is not in the same vicinity as the trailer and I need to adjust it a little bit?
