Recommended Trailer Wire Harness For A 2020 GMC Terrain
Question:
For a 2020 GMC Terrain SLT FWD L4-1.5L Turbo, Im hoping that your: C94FR will work for just 4-way lights tail, brake, and turn signals. I HAVE FOUND the wiring connector, behind the center of the rear bumper, but your item description says that the vehicle must have the factory tow package, which this vehicle does not have. Will it work? Im guessing / hoping that I need Only that existing wiring connector it is Original wiring, from GMC behind the bumper. Thanks.

Hey Mark,
If your Terrain has a plug like the one pictured below then you should have the tow package and be able to use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C94FR. This harness has relays to plug into itself to activate the factory tow package and transfer the light signals to through the trailer connector.
If the harness you're describing is different then it likely isn't for the tow package and you'll need to go with the Tekonsha Powered Tail Light Converter w/ 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # 119190KIT. This kit has to be spliced into your factory tail light wiring so it's a bit more of a job to install compared to the # C94FR.
