Appropriate Replacement Bolster Brackets for Trailer Carrying 3000-lb Boat/Motor

Question:

My bolster brackets need replacing but they are 11.25inch tall by 4.5inch wide and use two U-bolts to attach to the frame each. I do not see anything in that size but I see that others with heavier boats are using the singles. My boat and motor weigh 3000lbs. Should I be using a safety factor of two to find bolster brackets. My trailer axles and leaf springs we at least 2x what I need in weight capacity for my boat. Please let me know your opinion on this. Thanks,

We offer bolster brackets both singly and in sets of four and in a range of sizes and types for both bunks and rollers. The link provided will let you see all available parts. You can use the filters at the left-hand side of the page to select parts by type and size.

Extra capacity in any system is never a bad idea but these components are not weight-rated so as long as you find a suitable size and type you should be fine.
