Brake Controller Installation in a 2006 Nissan Titan
Question:
I am looking to install a brake controller for my 2006 nissan titan. Do you have any pictures of where the harness plugs into. The only example of what have online is a 2008 and its a little different.

If equipped with a tow package your 2006 Nissan Titan has a quick-connect brake controller port under the dash (usually just to the right of the steering column and above the OBD-II port - see photo). This allows plug-and-play installation of a brake controller like the Tekonsha Primus IQ you reviewed, part # TK90160, with a quick-connect harness # 3050-P.
Although there may be minor variations among vehicles the appearance of the brake control connector will be essentially the same.
If you do not have a factory tow package (and no under-dash port) you can do a hard-wire installation using brake controller install kit # ETBC7. This kit includes, the 7-way, wiring, connectors and circuit breakers to do a hard-wire installation. Both a video and article concerning installation of this kit are provided.
