How To Measure For Axle Spacing And Choose The Correct Replacement Suspension Kit

axle spacing 33 or 35 inch for the dexter axle suspension kit. where do you measure the 33 or 35 inch spacing at ? try to determine which kit to buy, 33-k71-359-00 or 35-k71-449-00

Hi Jack,

The 33" or 35" spacing is measured from the center of one axle to the center of the other axle (measurement C in diagram). If this isn't a new build and your just replacing suspension components then I'd recommend measuring each component separately just confirm that you're getting the correct fit, otherwise you might have to replace the leaf springs as well.

You'll want to measure the shackle straps and equalizer according to the diagrams below and double check that you have a matching fit to the Dexter Heavy-Duty Suspension Kit for Tandem-Axle Trailers # K71-359-00. If not then I can either find another kit or list out all of the components that you'll need.
