Yes we can! The correct hitch for the 2024 Toyota Highlander Platinum is the etrailer Class 3 hitch # e75ZR. We double checked with the manufacturer and confirmed that it will indeed fit the Platinum model.
The etrailer # e75ZR hitch is considered a no-drill install and it will bolt on to holes already present on the frame. That said, some trimming of the plastic underbody manel will be required. Or you can elect to fully remove the underbody panel. We recommend trimming and replacing the panel, as this will keep the underbody of the car better protected from dirt and debris. In my opinion it will look a bit better this way too.
It is also worth mentioning that the hitch may interfere with the hands free liftgate sensor on the rear bumper. In most cases, the sensor will still work, but sometimes the functionality is lost completely. The placement and angle of this sensor is not as consistent as you would think, so that is why it is hard to say with certainty if the sensor will still function like normal.
Also, the hitch will limit your ability to carry a full-size spare tire underneath the vehicle. If the spare tire is 18" or smaller it will fit fine, but a full-size spare will not. Just wanted to put that out there.
We made a video last time we installed the etrailer # e75ZR hitch on a 2023 Highlander. I have linked this video below if you would like to see.
