Cushioned Gooseneck Adapter for 2019 Forest River Sierra 379URL and Offset Ram Hitch Ball

Question about best method. I just purchased a 2024 Dodge RAM 2500 Diesel/Crew Cab/4x4/Short Bed no side storage in bed. I own a 2019 Forest River Sierra 379URL with a cushioned pin box. For my new truck I want to hookup gooseneck style. My question is best method and/or best ride quality. Do I replace the cushioned pin box with the original pin box and buy this type of offset adapter or do I purchased a 5th wheel gooseneck pin box and use an offset ball in the truck? Please advise what you recommend for best ride and of course turning clearance for a short bed truck.

Your best option would be a cushioned fifth wheel to gooseneck adapter and then an offset ball for turning clearance for the best ride quality. So for the fifth wheel to gooseneck adapter you'd want the Reese Goose Box part # RP85FR which uses an air ride system to provide cushioning. Then for an offset gooseneck ball that fits your 2024 Ram 2500 with the OEM pucks you'd want the part # GY83XR.
