Troubleshooting Low Voltage For A Furrion Vision S RV Camera System
Question:
My Furion Camers stopped working with truck in front of the 42 ft Solitude . But will work if I park in back of the camera . It worked on pretest before our trip to Az but as soon as we were pulling out of the park in Idaho it quit . Would try to work occasionally. Voltage at Camera is 8.5 volts . I tested the thermal Rv batteries and connections they are all good at13. 57 volts . We pull our 2018 solitude with a 2018 ram Laramie

If the camera is only getting 8.5 volts then you're dealing with a voltage drop issue. Furrion camera systems # FOS43TASF require 12 volts to properly operate and since you're having issues when towing the camera is most likely tied into a light that's starting to pull too much power for the camera to work. You can either reroute the power to camera to increase the voltage to an appropriate level or install the PWM Filter # VGR64VR. This filter stores power and provides a constant 12 volts to the camera system to allow it to properly operate. I've attached a short installation video for this below.
