Recommended Direct Connect Base Plate Kit for a 2021 Jeep Wrangler and a Falcon All Terrain Tow Bar

Question:

Will this bracket work with the Falcon All Terrain Non-Binding Tow Bar I purchased in 1992?

Expert Reply:

Yes, it will so long as your older model Falcon All Terrain Non-Binding Tow Bar item # RM-522 has the attachment on the ends of the arms like the picture below. If you don't have these we can get you set up with a pair of new ones using the Replacement Swivel Collars for Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain item # RM-9200-6.

These attachments will make your Falcon Tow Bar compatible with the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit item # RM-521453-5 you were looking at. This base plate kit is confirmed to fit a 2021 Jeep Wrangler with a factory bumper. I have linked an installation video below to help you get the base plate kit set up.

Some other parts you will need to flat tow your 2021 Jeep Wrangler are listed below:

Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267. This diode kit allows you to use your Jeep's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV. This kit will come with a 6-way socket for your Jeep as well as an adapter cable to go from the vehicle to the motorhome.

Please note that if your Jeep has ParkSense Proximity Sensors then you will need the Roadmaster Wiring Kit with Smart Diodes for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RM47ZR and the Roadmaster 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Kit # RM-146-7 instead.

Supplemental Braking System - SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System item # SM99251 or item # SM99243 if your motorhome has air brakes. You will also need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit item # RM-751490 to ensure that your supplemental braking system is properly positioned and working effectively. This kit activates your RV's monitoring system to alert you when the brakes of your towed car are being applied.

High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I have linked a FAQ article that explains all this in more detail along with our selection of adapters.
