Does ICX Transmitter Box Need to be Connected for Roadmaster Even Brake System
Question:
Does the even brake need to be hooked up to an icx box.? I want to use mine for a one time use on a different vehicle

Expert Reply:
Yes, the ICX Transmitter that comes with the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Supplemental Braking System # RM-9400 is essentially the brains of the unit and you even plug the breakaway pin to it so the Even Brake will know to apply the brakes if your towed vehicle becomes unhitched.
This is justified further by the need for a new one if you use the Roadmaster Even Brake 2nd Vehicle Kit # RM-98450.
Attached is a review video and the installation instructions for you to check out.
