Troubleshooting Curt Friction Sway Control Hard to Tighten

I have a Curt 17200 sway bar. All had been working great, unfortunately it has been increasingly difficult to tighten and loosen the bar. Is this a known Issue? Do you have recommendations on how to make the lever/bolt assembly easier to tighten/loosen? Thanks,

The threads of the Curt sway bar part # 17200 might be getting a little rusty. You might spray some WD40 on the threads and that should allow it to tighten and loosen easier.
