Is There A Way To Move A Pin Box Higher On The Mounting Ears On A Grand Design Momentum 399TH

Question:

I just bought this pinbox used and installed it on my 2018 Grand Design Momentum 399th. I tried to mount it on the highest set of holes on the frame but the front of the raised area near the holes was interfering with the frame. So I have it in the 2inch lower position. This makes my rig over 2inch higher in the front than what I want it. This is even after I lowered my 5th wheel plate by 2. Do you have any suggestions on how I can get it to use the other set of holes? Ive thought about slotting the holes by 1/4inch to allow the bolts to fit. The pictures show it installed in the holes 2inch lower than what they need to be in. Thank you

I do not recommend enlarging the holes to move the pin box up higher since it takes a lot of pressure and will most certainly move up when you hit a rough patch of road and end up pinching the trim. You would need to cut out the trim and walls around the pin box to allow for the pin box to go higher or try to offset the increased height. You can try lowering the 5th wheel hitch 2" to level the trailer back out or try raising the suspension with the Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit # RR23QX in order to level the trailer back out.
