Recommended 7-Way to 4-Way Adapter Just for Trailer Lights
Question:
I am trying to find the simplest possible way to connect a 4 way connector on my 2007 Honday Ridgeline to the 7 way on my small camper trailer. I find many products on your site for connecting a 7 way on the truck to a 4 way on the trailer. I have the opposite. An online rep referred me to ETBC7 but that is not what I want to do. I dont care that the brakes on the trailer will not be activated because the trailer only weighs 1200 pounds. I just want a simple connector that will allow the lights on the trailer to function properly. What do you recommend?

If you don't care about brakes all you need is the Mighty Cord Trailer Connector Adapter item # A10-7084VP. You would plug your Honda's 4-way into the adaptor's 4-way and then plug it into the 7-way of your trailer. The lights will function but nothing else will. You will want to tape up the extra wires or cut them off if you have no intention of ever using them.
This is the simplest and least expensive way to do what you are wanting.
