Replacement OEM 7-Way Trailer Connector for 2008 Honda Ridgeline
Question:
I need to replace the factory 7 pin connector at the rear of my 2008 Honda Ridgeline. The wiring behind it is undamaged as far as I can tell. The shell and spring loaded cover are smashed. Do you have the replacement part?

Expert Reply:
I believe the 7-way on your Ridgeline plugs into a US car connector. You can check this by unplugging the damaged 7-way connector from the wiring harness that plugs into the back of it, and comparing what the connector looks like, compared to the left-hand panel in the photo I've provided for you. If they match, you can use the # HM40975 as a replacement for your 7-way.
We don't have the OEM Honda part, but this connector will provide you with a functional 4-pole, as well as the 7-way. If you wish to tow a small trailer that uses the 4-pole connector, you won't need to use an adapter.
If they do not match, let me know and I'll help find another solution for you.
