According to my research the 2007 Dodge Caravan with Stow-N-Go seats has varying towing capacities depending on the version. The SXT with 3.8L V6 engine has a maximum tow rating of 3800-lbs while the C/V and SE versions with the 3.3L engine have a maximum tow rating of 2000-lbs.

The Curt 1-1/4-inch Class II hitch you referenced, part # C12289, itself has a towing capacity of 3500-lbs. We also offer a 2-inch hitch from Curt, part # 13389, which has the same towing capacity. For reference I have linked installation videos for both hitches. Both come complete with all required installation hardware and both install without drilling.

When different components in a system have different ratings, and in this case the various versions of the vehicle and the hitches have different capacities, the lowest-rated part becomes the overall limit for the system. So if you have the SXT version with its 3800-lb towing capacity, your actual limit would be that of the hitch - 3500-lbs. If you happen to have the C/V or SE version, then the 2000-lb towing limit for these vehicles is the limit for the system, even though the hitch itself is rated higher. You might refer to the linked article on towing.

You will need to know the version of the vehicle you have and the actual total combined weight of your trailer and sportscar before towing. If you cannot confirm your Caravan tow rating in your owners manual then your local dealership should be able to tell you by looking up the VIN (vehicle identification number).

Once you have confirmed you can tow the trailer with the Caravan you will need a ball mount, pin and clip and a hitch ball. You can use ball mount # C45520 for the 1-1/4-inch hitch along with pin and clip # F-4. If your trailer uses a 2-inch coupler you can use hitch ball # C40018. If it uses a 1-7/8-inch coupler you can use hitch ball # 19256 but note this hitch ball is rated only to 2000-lbs.

I have also included a link to a trailer wiring harness for the Caravan that can power your trailer lights, part # 118300.

Assuming you are clear to tow your trailer you might want to consider some ratcheting tie-downs and related items. For example, we offer a ratcheting tie-down kit with axle strap from Erickson, part # 08504-05, rated for 10,000-lbs.
