Question:

Does anyone know the tow capacity of a 2005 chrysler town and country touring 3.8 litre that does not have the tow package?

I have done some research, and have found that the tow capacity of your 2005 Chrysler Town & Country is 3700 lbs. You will want to check in your owners manual to confirm the towing capacity.
Also, it is important to remember that your towing capacity is limited by the lowest rated component in the towing system, including: vehicle, hitch, ball mount, hitch ball or the capacity of your trailer.

For a hitch (if you don't already have one), I'd recommend the Draw-Tite Class III trailer hitch receiver, part # 75119 if your Town & Country does not have the stow and go seats. If it does, use the # 75305.

To complete your towing system, you might be interested in the following:

Ball mount, part # 2753
1-7/8 inch trailer ball # 19260 or 2 inch ball # 63845

Can my 2005 3.8 Chrysler town and country 2 in ball pull a 7 x 14 inclosed cargo dubbed axel?

It all depends on how much that 7 x 14 trailer weighs when it's fully loaded. As long as it's under the 3,700 pound limit that Mike pointed out above, you're good to go. I do still recommend verifying this capacity in your copy of the owner's manual just to be safe. All of the component recommendations that Mike listed are also still valid.
