Perfect for light-duty towing, this custom, vehicle trailer hitch receiver features fully welded, gloss powder coated steel construction. Drawbar sold separately.I bought a Curt trailer hitch for my 2005 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, with Stow and Go seating. I spoke with Kevin from etrailer.com who was very helpful and confirmed the part numbers for the hitch, wiring harness, and drawbar, and took my order. They arrived at my house on the next day.
The parts arrived in two boxes - one large box for the hitch, the other smaller box for the wiring harness and drawbar. The parts were all there, and correct, with installation instructions included. I spent about an hour installing the hitch itself, including jacking up the rear of the van to gain access to the underside, installing the hitch, and letting the car down. The instructions were spot-on. The wiring took less than an hour. I cleaned up and waxed the area behind the tailights, and routed the wiring carefully. The wiring was a perfect fit. Again, the instructions helped considerably.
The free shipping was a selling factor, plus their lowest price pledge saved me a little over $30.00. I am glad I decided to purchase the hitch and accessories from etrailer.com.
It is a solid, well-built hitch but it had to be modified to fit. In the mount there is a cutout that is designed to fit around a bolt on the frame. The problem is that neither of the cutouts would fit around the bolts. We had to cut both sides out more in order for the hitch to fit. This may be a similar problem with other hitches as well, but don't count on a 30 minute installation and make sure you have a grinder or something to modify this hitch.
Ordered the hitch for an 07 Grand Caravan with Stow-n-Go seats and used the YouTube video to see how they installed it and it helped reassure me that I was ordering the right one. The hitch fit correctly and installed as demonstrated. I was working in a well-equipped farm shop with access to good tools , but not a lift, so I was working laying under the van.
I didn't see anything about the size of the receiver receptical, so I ended up with smaller size than I expected. Might have been my error, or maybe that's what a class II hitch is, don't know. This hitch is on a repurposed state-surplus van purchased to be my field expedient work management platform, which includes using it to tow portable toilets.
Compared to a pickup truck, the van has pretty low ground clearance and I had thought the way the hitch attaches that it would be even worse, but it isn't. It's still higher than the exhaust pipe.
I was impressed by the speed and service of Etrailer. The Curt hitch was off slightly, as noted in other posts and did not line up exactly. With some prying and coaxing, we got it installed. And this is DEFINITELY a 2-man job.
Sturdy construction, heavy, clear instructions with one exception. The instructions say the bolts are 10mm and 12mm. In truth, on my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan, they were 15mm and 18mm. Product looks good installed and is a tight fit.

10mm and 12mm is the size of the bolt shank. 15mm and 18mm are the size of the socket needed for the head.
The hitch was delivered in a timely manner. And fit perfectly. I will order again when I get a different auto. The true test is when I pulled my trailer loaded with two face cord of oak. No problem.
Great quality, install wasn't bad with 2 people, we did it lying on the ground do that made it tougher. The directions were great and the YouTube video was perfect.

Perfect fit. I removed 8 bolts and reinstalled them through the hitch and I was done. It could not have been easier to install. Great product!

I find that the hitch framework makes frequent contact with the ground when I enter or exit uneven driveways even without a trailer.
