Hello, I have a 2005 Dodge Dakota with a factory seven way plug. I was looking through your compatible models and I noticed that the Redarc pro model RED24FR is not listed for the truck configuration with a factory seven way. The Redarc elite RED44FR is listed compatible on the factory 7 way with the Tekonsha adapter 3020-S I would like to know if the Redarc PRO RED24FR is compatible with my truck using the 3020 – S adapter.

The easiest way to connect the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR to your 2005 Dodge Dakota with factory 7-way is by using the Tekonsha Wiring # 3020-P with the Redarc to Tekonsha Adapter # 331-TPH-017. This will give you a plug and play installation so you do not have to worry about splicing wiring together.

If you already have the Tekonsha Wiring # 3020-S you will then need the Universal Redarc Wiring # RED69FR to splice with this. This will then connect the Liberty Controller # RED24FR to your Dakota.

I reached out to my contact at Pewag, and the Pewag Grab Hook for Glacier Transport Chain, #G7CG-38-YC, will work with the 5/16 inch chain. I've included a picture of the 3/8 inch hooks on a 5/16 inch chain.
