Best Suspension Enhancement to Level 2017 Ram 1500 With 2 Inch Lift

Question:

I have a 2inch leveling kit installed on a 2017 Ram 1500 Lonestar crew cab. Without any load, from ground to top of tire well is 39” front and back. Loaded with trailer and gear the back goes down to 36.5” even with weight distribution hitch. What would be best to keep level while loaded?

By far the best way to ensure a level ride as you are towing with your 2017 Ram 1500 with a 2 inch lift is using air bags. They allow you to set the psi to the exact amount you need in order to get a level ride as opposed to jounce springs which can compress so you aren't as level as possible. The correct air bags and spacer for your '17 Ram 1500 is the following:

- Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57365

- Air Lift Universal Air Spring Spacers for LoadLifter 5000 and 7500XL # AL52420

Just keep in mind these will not fit if your Ram has the factory Air Suspension system. I'm guessing that's unlikely due to the issues you mentioned being unlevel, but I did want to mention it just in case. And to avoid any leaks when installing the air bags you'll want to use Air Hose Cutter # AL10530.

Finally, I do I do highly recommend considering the use of a compressor to make inflating, monitoring, and maintaining the air bags easier. The best option to do so is a wireless compressor, the Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System # AL25980.
