What Is The Ball Height Of The Stealth Hitch SH62VR On A 2023 BMW X3
Question:
I have a 2023 BMW X3 xdrive 30i. Can you tell me how tall the top of the ball mount or the very top of the 2 inch ball is when installed. I want to see if my trailer will be pitched up or down severely. It seems the hitch is a fixed height and cannot take different height receivers?

We got our hands on a 2022 BMW X3 and successfully installed this hitch # SH62VR. The hitch height was measured at 13" from the ground to the top inside edge of the receiver. The ball will sit about 2" above that.
You are correct, this ball is a fixed height. You CANNOT use the stealth hitch receiver with other ball mounts like # DT49MR for example. The stealth hitch receiver is not made for towing, and you must use the stealth hitch ball only.
I am not sure what trailer you have, but most trailers average around a 16" or 17" coupler height. Our rule of thumb is that within 3 inches of level will still be safe to tow. That said, we do still want your trailer to be as close to level as possible. If you have access to this trailer, just make sure the trailer is level and you can measure from the ground to the center of the coupler. Compare that measurement to the ball height of 15" and we will know exactly how much space we need to make up. If for example, your trailer has a coupler height of 16" or 17", you will be close enough to level that you can tow without any adverse effects.
