What Is the Highest Capacity Hitch Available For A 2008 Chevy 1500
Question:
I have a 2008 Silverado it has a 6 1/2 foot bed. it currently has a factory installed hitch. The hitch tubular steel is rusted out. As a result I wanted to install a new hitch to replace the factor one. Can you recommend a hitch and will I need to remove the factory one. I was looking for a hitch wit the most amount of TW weight and the most weight of towing capacity

Expert Reply:
The strongest hitch we have available for your vehicle will be the B&W class 5 hitch # BWHDRH25217. This hitch is rated for 16,000 lbs towing and 1,600 Tongue weight. Installation will require permanent removal of the factory hitch.
I have linked an install video below if you want to get a better idea of what is involved.
