Are the 5000lb air bags sufficient for hauling a 26ft camper weighing about 5,750lbs dry and a weight distribution hitch used all so ?

The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs, # F2071, would be more than adequate to reduce sag and improve ride quality when towing your 5,750 lbs camper. The additional weight that the airbags would support would only be the tongue weight of the trailer, plus the weight of any cargo in the truck bed. For this kit to fit, you must have at least 7-1/2 inches from the outside of the truck frame to the inside of the tire. If you have less than 7-1/2 inches, then I recommend going with the Ride-Rite Kit, # F2550. Keep in mind, adding air bags does not increase your trucks weight carrying capacity.

A suspension enhancement system, like the Firestone air bags, is typically not needed if you are using a weight distribution system. Both systems can be used together, but using a properly rated weight distribution system should be all that is needed to eliminate any sag.

If you already have a weight distribution system and are experiencing sagging when towing, the first thing I would do is make sure your weight distribution system is properly rated for your towing setup. Your weight distribution system should have a tongue weight capacity or spring bar capacity that can support the total tongue weight of your towing setup. This includes the loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of your trailer plus the weight of any cargo loaded in your truck bed behind the rear axle.

If you decide to use air bags and weight distribution together, it is recommended to fill the air bags before hooking up the weight distribution system. Also, it is not recommended to use weight distribution system with auto-fill air bags, but they can be used with manual fill air bags.
