Parts Needed To Tow a 5TH Wheel Trailer With 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Short Bed Gooseneck Hitch

Can I tow a fifth wheel with a gooseneck behind my 2015 silverado 2500hd with 6.5 ft bed? Is there a way to do this without a slider hitch? Any pros or cons?

You can use a Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter # CAB-C5GX1216 which will connect to the pin box on your 5th wheel. This will allow you to connect to a gooseneck hitch ball on your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The Adapter has a 7-1/2" offset to help you gain additional clearance between your cab and 5th wheel while turning. The only con to using this system is it can void the manufacturer warranty, which generally isn't an issue on older campers as may manufacturer warranties are only for 1 year.
If your 5th wheel already has a pin box like the Reese Goose Box # RP85FR to connect to a gooseneck ball you may need an offset ball like the B&W # BWGNXA4085. This will require you to have a B&W Turnoverball # BWGNRK1012 hitch. If you have a different gooseneck hitch please let me know and I can let you know if there is a compatible offset ball for that hitch.
