Weight Distribution Hitch For 500 - 600 lb Tongue Weight & Pole Tongue Boat Trailer
Question:
I have a 24 foot pontoon boat and just purchased a smaller midsize truck gmc canyon Is there a weight distribution hitch that will work on a single pole trailer with surge brakes? At most I’ll have 500-600 pounds on the tongue but being a smaller truck, every little bit helps. I’m also concerned about how it would affect the surge breaks. Currently no air bags available for this truck and the only option I found so far would be the sumo springs…but not convinced they will help

There is a weight distribution hitch for 500 lbs to 600 lbs of tongue weight you can use for your boat trailer's pole tongue, but the tongue will require an adapter to work. What you will need is the following:
- Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA94-00-0800
- Pole-Tongue Adapter # EQ95-01-5950
The e2 is rated perfectly for your set up, and will mount directly to the adapter; the hitch is also compatible with surge brakes and it won't affect them.
The only other things you need are Socket # ALL643216 to install the hitch ball, and of course the hitch ball itself, the 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # C40008.
