Yo replace the lid on a max fan deluxe, do you need to disassemble the hinge that raise the lid? Or are the attachment points accessible independently?

To access the screws needed to remove the vent lid of your MaxxFan to install the new # MA05-30520 you would need to raise the lid so that you can unscrew it from the base of the vent assembly. The screws are not accessible without having the lid up.

Yes, I can confirm that when removing the vent hinge screws you will then be able to open the lid to gain access to the remaining hinge screws when installing the Replacement Lid for MaxxAir MaxxFan Deluxe #MA05-30510.
