Difference Between BrakeRite Adapter Modules

Question:

What is the difference between item # T4845900 “Dexter BrakeRite SD Adapter for Ford/Chevy Integral Brake Controllers” and item DX35FR “Adapter Module for BrakeRite Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator - OE Ford, GM Brake Controllers?” Will both of these work to interface a Ford/Chevy OEM brake controller with a Titan BrakeRite? Is there a Titan SD actuator that the SD adaptor is supposed to work with? Thank you!

Helpful Expert Reply:

The Adapter Module # DX35FR is the original part and requires butt connectors to splice into the BrakeRite systems while the Dexter BrakeRite SD Adapter # T4845900 was designed for the newer BrakeRite SD and comes with a T-Connection so you don't have to splice anything in.

The SD Adapter will also work with the older models the DX35FR was designed for so I recommend going with the SD Adapter for whatever BrakeRite system you have.
